According to data recently provided to Empowered Group-1
(EG-1), the organization is committed to designing a national strategy to
combat Covid-19. Child cases have increased from 2.80% in March this year to
7.04% in August.
The data shows that among the 18 states and federal
territories, Covid-19 cases among children are highest in Mizoram State,
accounting for 16.48% of the entire active cases, and therefore the lowest in
Delhi, where 2.25% of kid cases are reported.
Odisha earlier reported that Covid-19 cases among children
and adolescents had increased by 20%. Officials said: "The daily Covid-19
infection rate among children and adolescents has risen to twenty .3%. this is
often a worrying issue because they need not been vaccinated."
At an equivalent time, a serological survey of two ,700
children conducted by the Chandigarh grad school of Medical Education and
Research (PGIMER) showed that 71% of the participants developed antibodies. The
survey was conducted within the Chandigarh area, covering rural, urban and slum
residents.
"We are at the start of the third wave of the Covid-19
pandemic. PGIMER's serological survey of two ,700 children in Chandigarh showed
that 71% of them developed antibodies. this means that children won't be
affected during the third wave. Disproportionate impact," ANI quoted
PGIMER Director Dr. Jagat Ram as saying.
He added that surveys in Maharashtra and Delhi showed that
about 50-75% of youngsters developed antibodies.
New data that specialize in children has reignited the talk
about the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, because the number of
cases nationwide has decreased, it's believed that vaccination has led to the
prevention of hospitalization.
At an equivalent time, because more attention is being paid
to children now, more people have reported infections in children than within
the first and second waves of the Covid-19 pandemic, therefore the number may
rise.
The latest data provided to the top of the working party VK
Paul shows that between June 2020 and February 2021, children accounted for two
.72% to 3.59% of the country's total cases.
When the new data is released, the middle plans to start out
vaccinating children aged 12-17 with comorbidities. consistent with the
"Economic Times" report, the plan is being prepared, and Zydus
Cadila's DNA vaccine ZyCoV-D has been authorized for emergency use in October
to be used in children.
Meanwhile, India reported 27,176 new cases within the last
Covid-19 cases are on the rise among children, above the
national average of 7%
The five states which have registered the utmost number of
Covid-19 cases are Kerala with 15,876 cases, Maharashtra with 3,530 cases,
Tamil Nadu with 1,591 cases, Mizoram with 1,185 cases and Andhra Pradesh with
1,125 cases.24 hours, which is seven per cent above cases recorded on Tuesday, consistent
with the info released by the Union health ministry.
